...AIRFORCE AIRCRAFT FIND JERRY IS A HURRICANE...

A TROPICAL STORM WATCH IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR ANGUILLA. A TROPICAL STORM WATCH MEANS THAT TROPICAL STORM OR DEVELOPING TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSE A POSSIBLE THREAT TO THE SPECIFIED AREA WITHIN 48 HOURS. RESIDENTS SHOULD REVIEW THEIR THEIR HURRICANE DISASTER PLANS.

AT 11 AM ECT OR 1500Z THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM JERRY WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 16.8 NORTH, LONGITUDE 54.4 WEST OR ABOUT 581 MILES EAST OF ANGUILLA.

JERRY IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST AT 16 MILES PER HOUR. A WEST-NORTHWEST MOTION AT A SIMILAR FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. ON THE FORECAST TRACK, THE CENTER OF JERRY WILL BE NEAR OR NORTH OF THE NORTHERN LEEWARD ISLANDS ON FRIDAY.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE INCREASED TO NEAR 75 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. JERRY CURRENTLY A CATEGORY 1 HURRICANE AND IS FORECAST TO STRENGHTEN DURING THE NEXT DAY BEFORE SOME WEAKINGING BEGINS THIS WEEKEND.

TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 45 MILES FROM THE CENTER.

THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 988 MB OR 29.18 INCHES.

BASED UPON THE LATEST POSITION AND ANALYSES, JERRY CONTINUES ON A PATH THAT WILL TAKE THE CYCLONE NORTH OF THE LEEWARD ISLANDS ON FRIDAY.

CLOUDINESS WITH SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE DURING THE WATCH AREA THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY. RAINFALL TOTALS OF UP TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE WITH THE PASSAGE OF JERRY.

MARINERS SHOULD STAY IN PORT AND SEEK SAFE ANCHORAGE AS SEAS WILL DETERIORATE WITH THE PASSAGE OF JERRY.
