A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS. A TROPICAL STORM WARNING MEANS THAT TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED WITHIN THE SPECIFIED AREA IN THIS CASE, WITHIN 12 HOURS. BASED ON THE LATEST OBSERVATIONS AND ANALYSIS LAURA IS DISORGANIZED; HOWEVER, THERE IS STILL AN ELEVATED THREAT FOR LIMITED IMPACTS FOR STORM FORCE WINDS, HIGH SEAS, STORM SURGE AND MINOR FLOODING.

LAURA IS MOVING TOWARDS THE WEST AT NEAR 21 MPH AND A GENERAL WEST NORTH WEST MOTION AT A SLIGHTLY FASTER FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

THE CENTRE OF LAURA HAS MOVED OVER PORTIONS OF THE LEEWARDS ISLANDS AND IS EXPECTED TO BE NEAR TO BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS BY SATURDAY MORNING. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 40 MPH (65 KM/H) WITH HIGHER GUSTS. SOME SLOW STRENGTHENING IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT FEW DAYS. TROPICAL-STORM-FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 205 MILES (335 KM) FROM THE CENTER. THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1007 MB (29.74 INCHES).
