AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
FOR THE LEEWARD ISLANDS AND BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS
ISSUED BY ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA METEOROLOGICAL SERVICES

DISCUSSION:   LIGHT SPOTTY SHOWERS WERE SEEN SCATTERED OVER AND AROUND THE ISLANDS TONIGHT VIA RADAR IMAGERY. A TROPICAL WAVE IS APROACHING THE AREA AND SMALL POCKETS OF MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY AHEAD OF THE WAVE TRIGGERRED SOME OF THESE SHOWERS. OVERNIGHT, RADITIONAL COOLING COULD CAUSE A FEW MORE SHOWERS TO DEVELOP HOWEVER, AT MOST, A MODERATE CHANCE IS ANTICIPATED. AT THE SAME TIME AN UPPER LEVEL LOW OVER THE CARIBBEAN SEA HAS PLACED US ON THE SIDE OF FAVORABLE PVA THEREFORE THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME OF THESE SHOWERS TO BECOME MODERATE .

ALL OTHER PARAMETERS ARE IN GENERAL AGREEMENT WITH THE LATEST ISSUED FORECAST HOWEVER THE CHANCE OF SHOWERS COULD BE MODERATE FOR THE EARLY MORNING.
