FOR THE LEEWARD ISLANDS AND BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS
ISSUED BY ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA METEOROLOGICAL SERVICES

DISCUSSION  ..SKIES TONIGHT ACROSS THE LEEWARD ISLANDS AND BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS WERE MOSTLY FAIR TO PARTLY CLOUDY DUE IN PART TO A DRY LOW LEVEL. SURELY THERE WERE A LOT OF CIRRUS ASSOCIATED WITH A FRONTAL TROUGH BUT A LACK OF LOW LEVEL SUPPORT KEPT SHOWERS AT BAY. MORE RECENTLY RADAR DETECTED SPOTTY SHOWERS. AN ACTIVE LOW LEVEL TROUGH CURRENTLY ACROSS PUERTO RICO WILL SLOWLY DRIFT EASTWARDS BY SUNDAY. THIS WILL INCREASE THE CHANCES FOR CLOUDINESS WITH SHOWERS. THIS IS CONSISTENT WITH THE LATEST ISSUED FORECAST.
